Tourist History brought to Columbus by Two Door Cinema Club
Two Door Cinema Club brought an eclectic night to KEMBA Live! in Columbus, Ohio, on September 25, 2026, with STRFKR opening the show. The packed venue was only a snapshot of just how wide the band's appeal is, with a crowd spanning a range of ages. From the moment the music started, the energy never let up — and even outside, where the sound of the band could be heard clearly, the crowd was somehow just as loud, still singing and dancing before they'd made it to their cars.
STRFKR immediately drew people in with a high-energy performance that had the crowd singing and dancing along. One of the most memorable moments of their set was when one of the astronauts came off the stage and launched into the crowd — the kind of moment that captures the playful, anything-can-happen atmosphere of a night that had barely started.
By the time Two Door Cinema Club took the stage, KEMBA Live! was already buzzing. The anticipation built between songs, and when the opening chord of a favorite rang out, the response was immediate — screams before the first lyric was even sung. For many fans, those first few notes were enough. These are songs that have been part of people's lives for years, and you could feel that weight in the room.
There was something especially meaningful about seeing different generations experiencing the show together. Parents could be heard talking with their children about the band, sharing stories about when they first discovered Two Door Cinema Club and explaining what the music meant to them. It wasn't simply a concert for the people in the room; for some, it was an opportunity to pass a piece of their own musical history to the next generation.
Nobody seemed interested in sitting down. The crowd stayed on its feet throughout, singing and reacting to each familiar song with the kind of enthusiasm that made it clear these weren't passive listeners — every recognizable guitar line or opening note triggered another wave of cheers.
The energy didn't disappear when the final song ended, either. As fans made their way out of KEMBA Live! and toward their cars, the excitement lingered. People were still talking, still singing, still reliving favorite moments as they walked through the parking lot. Even after the music stopped, the feeling stayed — which is really the only measure of a show that matters.
About the Artists
Formed in Northern Ireland in 2007, Two Door Cinema Club — Alex Trimble, Sam Halliday, and Kevin Baird — released their debut album Tourist History in 2010, establishing the band internationally with tracks like "Something Good Can Work," "Undercover Martyn," and "I Can Talk." Their 2012 follow-up Beacon became their highest-charting UK studio album, reaching No. 2. They've since released Gameshow (2016), False Alarm (2019), and Keep On Smiling (2022), with each record pushing their sound further into electronic and pop territory while keeping the indie-rock bones that made them.
