Opening Night of Don Broco’s Nightmare Tripping Tour
Don Broco kicked off their Nightmare Tripping tour at Watford Colosseum on Sunday, September 27, 2026. For this run the band have scaled down their venues compared to the large rooms they have taken over in the past, such as Wembley Arena just under a year ago. The Colosseum reopened last year after a lengthy refurbishment, and the band were joined by support acts Unpeople, a rapidly rising rock/metal band, and Ando San, a musician who fuses hip hop and rock into one.
Ando San kicked off the night with his “Prog-Hop” songs, as he calls them, creating a unique sound that warmed the crowd up in a more relaxed way than the bands that followed. After a quick break, Unpeople took to the stage with a chaotic energy that rubbed off on the crowd, as the first mosh pits and crowd surfers of the night started during their set.
After the lights went out, guitarist Simon Delaney took to the stage with an acoustic guitar intro that felt like the calm before the storm, welcoming in the rest of the band. This led into “True Believers,” causing chaos in the crowd, with mosh pits and crowd surfers galore for most of the set. “Nightmare Tripping,” the title track from their latest album, came next, and the crowd went crazy for it, especially with the massive energy the band brought on stage, with spins and stomps aplenty that were fun to watch all night.
There were a few surprises in the setlist, especially for an opening night: they played “Money Power Fame” for the first time in four years and gave live debuts to “The Corner” and “Swimming Pools” from the new album. The buzz never dropped, especially during the songs where the band wanted bigger pits. Just before the end they played “T-Shirt Song,” which had the crowd waving their shirts around their heads, a sea of shirts that was especially fun to see from the balcony. For the closer, “Hype Man,” the pit was almost wall to wall, ending the night on a high.
This gig was only the beginning: the tour continues across the UK and Europe until mid-October, followed by a month in the US from mid-November with headline dates as well as support slots on Beartooth’s tour.
